Financial Reporting

Not only will your accountant thank you for implementing WebTRIM, but so will your bank manager! Our focus on reporting extends well beyond the internal needs of your repair facility.

Historically, complex financial reports such as Work In Progress meant that you had to take note of all jobs that had been started, work out the status of each, and estimate the cost of labour performed. You are then required to add in the cost of parts purchased for each job, keeping in mind that you can not include any parts purchased after the end of the month, and same applies to any sublet costs. Gathering all this information is one thing, but what happens when you are asked to prove the figures?

WebTRIM takes all the headaches out of Work In Progress for you. Regardless of how many weeks you are into the month, you can historically look at the Work In Progress as at a particular date. Our report will provide you with any Parts, Sublet, and Labour Costs (divided into Paint & Panel), and for the most prudent accountants – can be drilled down to see the exact parts & sublet invoices that made up the costs, as well as the date, time, duration, cost and employee that made up the labour cost figures. If this report does not satisfy your work in progress needs– nothing will!

Depending on arrangements, your accountant may get involved with the planning and budgeting of your business. The problem is that the repair industry is quite unique, and the information available is often limited or inaccurate. Accountants understand numbers, and the more information they have as to how a number is derived, the better the understanding of your business. This in turn provides greatly improved advice and guidance.

Reports such as our Jobs Invoiced Report show in a simple to understand format, how your revenue and cost figures are formulated. With a single line per job, you can see the revenue and cost for each cost centre on a job by job basis. This provides an accountant or third party, with information such as the volume of parts in relation to total revenue, the margin achieved, and other critical pieces of information that will help them understand your business.

Earlier, it was mentioned that your bank manager too will thank you for implementing WebTRIM. Our jobs not invoiced but completed report alone will mean that you can immediately see a list of jobs that have been completed in the workshop, but not yet invoiced. It is not uncommon for a repair facility to be weeks behind in their invoicing. This report cuts through the myriad of excuses or poor communication between the shop floor and admin staff that can cause such delays. You will finally be able to take control over your invoicing backlog by running a single report!

Progressive repair facilities will often require a loan from their bank manager for such things as expansion, renovations, new equipment or even acquisitions. We provide ready to present reports which will show how the trend in your business is progressing in terms of profitability, and sales volumes. This suite of reports can be drilled down to each cost centre, or can be activated to show trends in gross or net profits. The report is presented in an easy to understand format, and contains both graphical and tabular information.
